"I wanted to raise money for Heart Heroes as this charity has supported our family and our son, who was born with a complex congenital heart defect, for several years. I wanted to take on a challenge and decided wing walking was terrifying enough! I was so proud to have raised the amount we did through coffee mornings and the fundraising page. On the day I felt excited and nervous. Especially when I climbed onto the top of the plane! The experience was incredible and exhilarating. I felt safe and the wing walking team were incredibly professional and reassuring. The best bit was seeing the look on my son’s face, for that day I was his hero and he was so proud of me. The whole day was really emotional and I can’t’ wait to plan our next fundraising challenge. Maybe on the ground this time! "
