#Beatz aims to support young individuals at every stage of their journey.
Providing them with the tools, resources and opportunities they need to thrive and move forward, whether it's through our young adult initiatives, mentoring, or beyond. The concept of #Beatz program represents the unique rhythm and journey of each individual, particularly those with heart conditions. Just as heartbeats vary from person to person, so do the experiences and challenges faced by our Heart Heroes. As they transition from child to adult services and navigate through different stages of their lives, their #Beatz symbolise resilience, growth, and progress.
Planned activities and structured support from Heart Heroes contribute to the group’s mission of fostering a sense of community and understanding.
Providing a safe and inclusive space for older children and young adults on similar journeys to access support, connect, empathise and share their experiences openly. Facilitating a supportive environment where individuals can discuss worries or concerns related to their heart conditions without judgment.
As your child transitions from being a child into a young adult they may start to think about becoming more independent in life and they may choose to study away from home, live on their own and visit other countries. It is therefore important that they feel confident to manage their health condition independently.
This involves being able to describe what their health condition is, spot symptoms early, make appointments, ask for help, make decisions and know what activities are safe for them to do as you will not always be with them.
