Our Commitment
We are committed to being open, honest and accountable in all areas of our work. This includes how we raise funds, how we spend donations, and how we deliver support to children living with heart conditions and their families.
How We’re Funded
Heart Heroes is funded through a combination of:
· Public donations and fundraising events
· Corporate partnerships and sponsorships
· Grants and trusts
· Sales from our charity shop and merchandise
Every penny raised goes towards supporting our mission — whether that’s running local HUBs, maintaining Olius Lodge, funding projects like I Can, or creating special experiences for our Heart Heroes and their families.
How We Use Our Funds
We’re careful with every donation we receive. Our funds are used to:
· Provide emotional and practical support for children with heart conditions and their families
· Run community events and respite breaks
· Fund awareness and education projects
· Cover essential running costs to ensure we can continue delivering our work effectively
Annual financial reports are available on request, and our accounts are submitted to the Charity Commission each year in line with UK charity law.
Governance and Accountability
Heart Heroes is governed by a Board of Trustees who oversee our strategic direction and ensure we meet all legal, ethical and financial responsibilities.
Our trustees volunteer their time and skills to make sure the charity operates with integrity and transparency at every level.
