Fundraising for Heart Heroes is extremely important. Not only does it enable us to support our Heroes, but it also raises awareness.
There are so many ways in which you can fundraise for Heart Heroes, from walking, cycling and sponsored challenges to a coffee and cake morning or a raffle. Whatever you choose please know you are making a difference to a child living with a heart condition.

Leo
"Leo’s school took part in ‘wear red day’ for Heart Heroes. We pushed it through newsletters, posters and by sharing Leo’s story. On the day, we collected money at the front gates and I was approached by families who also have children with heart conditions but hadn't heard of Heart Heroes. It was great to be able to inform them about the charity, and the work they do, and encourage them to come along to events and sign their kids up to 'I CAN'. Leo benefits from these sessions so much just knowing he isn’t alone, so I knew these families would benefit too. One mum told me that her son who has always been so shy about his scar, has got a lot more confident about it over the last couple of weeks - and even showed his scar off to his class! Another family were just pleased to have someone to introduce their daughter to, as her being a little older when diagnosed - it’s very daunting for her as she’s gone from ‘normal’ to ‘unwell’ so quickly - but knowing that there are other children with the same / similar conditions that she can go and meet up with is a saving grace! We wanted to do the wear red day to fundraise but also primarily to raise awareness - and I feel like we have way exceeded that with the families and children we have helped this month".

Every penny we receive helps a child and their family create ever lasting memories. The money you donate helps us to fund support groups, activities, experiences and events, allowing them to spend quality time together. We are truly grateful for all donations received as we do not receive any statutory funding.
