Our cardiac journey bears and passports continue to be a source of comfort and pride for our Heart Heroes
One parent recently shared:
“My son received one of these on the day of his surgery at GOSH, and it meant the world to him at such a difficult time. Receiving this teddy with his passport helped ease his anxiety, and he really enjoyed collecting the passport stickers. He loves his teddy and even puts his socks on it! He’s named it Cody, after himself.
This teddy provided a lot of comfort to a very scared, anxious 8-year-old — and it meant the world to him and to us. It was a huge comfort, and still is, during what was such a difficult time. He takes his teddy everywhere and tells everyone the story of his bear’.
These small touches can make the biggest difference.
