Argh argh argh…what’s that noise? That’ll be Amy out in our store spotting spiders!! Never did we think Amy would enjoy, let alone do a Forest School qualification but she has and is smashing it.

Once qualified, Amy will be leading our new Heart Heroes Forest School at our new HQ. Our hope is to eventually be able to open it to the wider community, so all children can benefit from this amazing experience. Make sure you check out the Big Heart Build updates to get a peek at the new Forest School shelter, pond and gardens.

"At first I was a little apprehensive about what the course may intail but WOW I have throughly enjoyed myself and learnt so many new skills. From lighting fires, whittling, working with natural materials to make some great resources, how to use certain tools, and so much more. Most importantly it’s about allowing children to explore their environments, learning about trial and error, take supported risks, build their confidence, independence and more. I can’t wait to start the sessions with our Heart Heroes and seeing the work going on at the bungalow this week has made me even more excited for our future sessions. But first to tackle the course work and to gain my Forest School Leaders Qualification".

Well done Amy…bring on the spiders, bugs and frogs!
