WE DID IT! Five Peaks Challenge Complete – 46 hours summit to summit, 49 hours total! 🏔️⏱️
From Snowdon to Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis to Slieve Donard, and finally Carrauntoohil, we’ve conquered the Five Peaks Challenge in memory of Steve Blackwell and in support of Heart Heroes.
The final peak didn’t go easy on us—extreme wind, driving rain, and zero visibility made Carrauntoohil a true test of grit. And just to add some drama, I (Al) took a nose dive into the rocks… walked away with a grazed forehead, bruised nose, and a slightly bruised ego. But we pushed through!
Huge thanks to our support vehicles and drivers, especially the mighty Defender 110, which carried us across countries, ferries, and mountain roads. Your patience, energy, and snacks kept us going when the legs said no and the knees begged for mercy!
And of course, Treksy the Heart Heroes bear made it to every summit, bringing smiles and spirit wherever he went.
Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve raised £9,205 so far for Heart Heroes—supporting children with heart conditions and their families. Every donation made a difference.
Thank you to everyone who donated, cheered us on, and entered the competition. Your support helped us power through 49 hours of climbing, descending, driving, and laughing through the pain.
