On Wednesday 26th March, our Engagement Lead Amy started her Forest School Leader Qualification with Inspired Forest School Training.
It is designed for professionals who want to lead independent Forest School sessions at a setting of their choice.
The course follows 5 key units of work:
– Delivery of a Forest School
– Learning and development at a Forest School
– Planning a Forest School programme
– Forest School and the woodland environment
– Practical skills for a Forest School programme
The course is 5 practical days plus theory work, and a final assessment.
Amy will start to run Forest school sessions for our Heart Heroes and siblings at the new HQ.
She said ‘The first day was great fun, we got to know all about Forest School and the concept behind it, we then did a lot of practical work including lighting fires and whittling sticks making wands and flowers.
Our Heart Heroes are definitely going to enjoy themselves when the sessions began and I can't wait to teach them’.
